Ooooh, upfronts!

I guess upfronts start today? That's what it looks like according to yahoo's entertainment news. Today is supposedly NBC's upfront, which is pretty much the network I care the least about (even less than CW. They're at least giving me Reaper right now, and possibly Colin Egglesfield in new-Melrose assuming it gets picked up...), but once one network has their upfront, the other networks follow. Besides, even NBC could possibly throw something my way that actually might be *gasp* appealing. You never know. I mean, they did host Golden Girls and Will & Grace, so they're obviously not all bad.

ABC will probably have a lock for Lauren Graham's new show. If there's one thing I'm willing to do, it's give Lauren Graham the time of day all the time. I don't know about the rest, really. I've seen some blurbs about the pilots that are running around, but I can't say that I really paid that much attention to them. Once they're given a slot on the upfronts, then I pay attention.

Brothers & Sisters: DO NOT WANT JUSTIN/REBECCA MARRIAGE!!!!! It. Is. Wrong!!!!!! Justin's speech was touching, out of context. In context it just made me shiver. I'm not going to get over the whole 'hey, for the better part of the year I thought you were my sister, but you're not and now I'm going to marry you and possibly make a baby with you!' thing anytime soon. I also don't want poor man's Edward Cullen (Ryan. Seriously, he's just ick because of his greasy hair and pale face. Cut the hair, it'll help!) around unless he actually does something of merit. This Sunday's episode is the last of the season. Sigh.

Non-TV related news: Today is the first day that I don't go in at 7:30 to unload all the shit that was made on Saturday. I'm not sure Darcie (my work's version of "the master") is aware of it. I don't think she is. Which means she'll pitch a fit, but that's not my problem. So, in honor of not having to go and work for her, I'm going to see if I can get some donuts and bring them to work for all my coworkers. Celebratory! Assuming the donut place by work is still around. It might not be. If not, I just have to go to McDonalds for myself. I'd rather get food for my coworkers. I've always wanted to get them food, because sometimes they bring food for us and I should repay the favor.

I've been looking at rates for hotels, and given that I have to stay there like 4 days, it's looking like it will cost an arm and a leg. I think I might just bite down and stay with my uncle. I don't really *want* to, but I also do not want to have to spend 700 dollars on a room. The cheaper rooms all imply that they're extremely close to the train tracks. Again: do. not. want.

Damned party. Why'd it have to be on Saturday!?

you have a 'master' as well, at your work? dreadful, isn't it? thankfully mine is part time and I see her at most 8-12 times a month.

why are hotels so expensive? have you tried expedia? i just got one for sf for three nights at around 120 total the only catch is that it's by the airport.

I think I do. This woman is just this force who swears up and down that she's hot shit, but EVERYONE hates her. Even so, she tends to get exactly what she wants and it's just horrible. Is that kind of what the Master is for you? Seems like it.

I see her all the time. She's a full time. It sucks. I don't deal with her nearly as much as I did before, but I still deal with her far too much.

Today, though, I was able to take a stand and not work with her at all. She was pissy all day about it, but I don't care.

I've looked at expedia, hotels.com and travelocity. They all tell me the same thing. Ventura is coastal, which tends to cost more, and I would be staying on Friday and Saturday nights, which hikes up the rates. I think I will probably just stay at the hotel on Wednesday and Thursday night, when it's cheapest, so I don't spend the entire time with all bazillion people that live in that house.

I GOT MY X-MEN DVDS!!! WEEEEE!!!

Yup, sounds like the master. Some of us call her that because she is boycrazy and likes to latch onto all the guys at our work. (We hired three young men, so it's a field day for her.) That and she swears up and down that I know nothing and she knows all, so we are always at it, but she fails because no one likes her. BUT for some reason people are afraid of her, so she gets everything she wants. Bitch.

The hotel thing makes sense, with it being coastal. I didn't realize that, that and the weekend days the price does go up. Hm. Sucks. You be spending $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ on hotel rooms these days.

Have you watched your dvds yet? I just about finished the first disc. Gods, Scott is a stud, even in 2-d form.

We call her many things at work. I call her 'the Darc,' which has been adopted by a few people, including the owner (that part amuses me). We also call her Beluga, La Gorda Ponsona, the Gestapo, or just the bitch. Plenty of people are scared of her, because she twists shit and the boss believes her. It makes more sense.

I KNOW!!! I be spending mad cash on the hotels these days. Blows. At least the Disneyland hotel makes sense. I mean, honestly, paying a grand is worth it to me for that merch ship option. What do I get for a hotel in Ventura? Well, peace of mind. But even peace of mind isn't worth no 700 dollars. Half that, yes.

Though I did just realize that, in all likelihood, I'll have to drag my stuff from the merch pick up place, which is probably in the main tower, to my room which is in the furthest tower.

It's all worth it for a view of that waterfall, though.

I haven't watched the dvds yet. I'm still watching my soaps, so it'll be awhile. But I think it was the cartoon that made me fall in love with Scott the most. I saw the hair and was like 'ooooh, pretty.'

Plus, the Logan hate was strong, and he didn't take Logan's shit!

Do you recall the Japanese opening? I told Emily they were SOOOOOO much better than our opening. Hell, I'm shocked to this day there isn't an anime series for the x-men. But I hated the 2nd op, too much Wolvie in that one. Ugh.

I barely saw the Japanese openings last year! And they BLEW MY DAMNED MIND!!!!!

I love the original opening theme song, though. Good shit. Such good shit.

I'm going to watch the Japanese openings now.

ESPECIALLY THE ONE THAT HAS THE SCOTT AND JEAN MOMENT!

ahaha. they try to make scott-jean-wolvie all shoujo-y. That shit was funny. For a split second it looks like a shoujo anime.

Marmalade Boy... Mutant Style!

I was always amused by the fact that both Japanese openings have characters who aren't really part of the team. I'm willing to give them Cable, since he was basically the #1 guest star, but Iceman was only in ONE episode!!! Granted, it was the best episode in the entire series, but it was still only one episode.

Cartoon Gambit was such a badass. Until they changed animation houses and voice actors. Second voice actor was horrible!

Yup, when they changed animation studios it all went to hell, I had to really stick in there and really force myself to watch it. Yeah, the JP OP gives the impression of all these other characters. I LOLZ at Cable every time because he looks so damn funny with those guns he carries.

We talked about the Evolution series, I never watched it, it looks to teenybopperish. Is it any good? The guys at work swear by it. I don't know..

We had a huge discussion at work about series. We are trying to see if we can get the residents to watch it..

Cable... ugh. I hate Cable. I never understood the popularity of Cable. I mean, I did because he had *GUNS!!!*, but it was all so pointless. And don't even get me started on that damned backstory!

I enjoyed Evo. I won't say I liked it as much as the FOX cartoon, because I didn't, but it had plenty of moments. I could see you enjoying it, but I could also see you not enjoying it. There's a lot less Wolverine focus in it than the FOX series, which might be an added tolerance thing for me.

Hmm, that would be cool if you could. So long as it doesn't cut into Three Caballeros time.

You hate Cable? Gods, I HATE HIM. Infact, I hate Rachel as well. When she dropped Summers and took on Grey, I was so annoyed and over it. You'd think Scott and Jean would have kick ass kids but no. Who had kick ass kids? Magneto.

I think it's genetically impossible for the Summers/Grey genome to produce a spawn that I find worthy.

Cable? DIAF!
X-Man? DNW!
Rachel? GTFO!

Makes you wonder why Sinister wanted those eggs and sperm so much. You'd think he would look at the end results and be like 'hmm... let's... go somewhere else...'
