Pluto close up

I had to do this piece on Literary Journalism...

And so I basically did a piece where I tore apart the mindless sheep that are Wolverine fans, Final Fantasy VII fans (it got the top spot of best games ever at Gamefaqs. I HATE THAT!!!!), and sports nuts. I really WANTED to do it, when I was thinking about it I thought it would be great, and I still want to do it, but I don't know if I can make it a piece where it seems to scream that it is mine, you know? Like, it doesn't have the feel that I believe my other pieces to have. It isn't as humorous, I don't think. And that scares me, because if I don't think that it's funny then I usually think it is bad, and in this case it could be quite boring. Nonetheless, I'm going to volunteer to be the first person who has their story read for this round, because I already wrote it and everything.

In other news: though I have attempted many a time to avoid it, I have found that I cannot. I'm slowly becoming enticed by anime again. Not anything current (Naruto sucks, people. For the love of god, it is HORRIBLE... why can't you see this? WHY? Granted, my opinion, and if you disagree, more power to you.), but I've been watching random episodes of Fruits Basket on my computer and I forgot how much I LOVE that show. Well, I didn't really forget, I just needed to be reminded. Momiji continues to annoy, but this is the point of Momiji. I don't have the first seven episodes, or like 22-25, although I do have the last. I'm thinking about buying them on DVD. Yes, I've heard the dub is horrible, but nonetheless I don't watch the dub, I watch the sub. Plus, I could go to hear the dub at least once. The same with Kodomo No Omocha, I also love that series. And I kinda wanted to watch Magic Users Club again, including the episodes I never saw. So, the anime that I like is hardly 'new,' but its still something that I kinda want to see again, which sucks because I'm trying to distance myself from it.

At the school they have this shoujo anime gallery thing downstairs in the hall where I take most of my classes. This is not a bad thing. In fact, it is quite good. There is one problem, though. Two, really. THEY HAVE NOTHING ABOUT NAOKO!!! How can you not have a gallery about Shoujo and not have anything on Naoko? It's just wrong. They also skipped out on Rumiko. I've never even heard of any of the people who are being focused on. It sucked. They did give a little handout of manga snippets, and there's this series that is basically chobits, but with a male robot and a female loser. It made me want to gag.

Now then, I'm off to buy the Harpy's birthday present.
