I'm working on 4 hours of sleep, and I don't care. I'm not tired at all. I am SO DAMNED AMPED UP!!!!

So, yesterday was the long day. Stay up until midnight for Smash to get released, then stay up longer and play it. But it wasn't all that I did. Far from it. I had a very active day.

First, I went to dinner with Sarah. Her birthday was on Tuesday, so it was a belated birthday and payment for hanging out with me for seven hours kind of thing. There's this restaurant in a little town nearby that is supposed to be really good. I wanted to try it. So I figured what the hell. It seems kind of quaint and all.

They have sauce for the bread. As we all know, bread wins at life. Carbs are our friend. Atkins diet be damned! Sadly, we did not take no pictures of the bread. But it pales to Longhouse bread.

It was Saturday. Usually that means that the soup of the day is not going to be clam chowder. Luck was with me yesterday, because they still had Clam Chowder!!! It was 4 dollars for a cup. Let me tell you, if it looks small it's because... well... it is... AND it didn't taste all that great. AND they didn't give me crackers. Granted, I didn't ask, but nonetheless.

Even though we were the only people at the restaurant for most of our time there, we still had to wait like 45 minutes for our food. I, of course, got the Calamari. It was delicious, but I had to take off the capers, because they were not so delicious, and, sadly, taking off the capers also meant that I had to take away some of the sauce. That sauce was GOOD. The noodle stuff was merely okay. They had mashed potatoes that seemed like they would be delicious, but I didn't get the choice.

This was Sarah's dinner. It was some chicken thing. I don't know what it was. But she liked it. I liked how the bread thing looked. I swear to you, I have this unhealthy love of bread. Even if I didn't want to be fat, my love of bread would likely keep my ass fat.

So, we get the bill... oh, dear God, the bill. They charge you for refills on your sodas. SODAS!!!! I spent 15 dollars on sodas, counting the refills, and that just angered me. They only got a five dollar tip, because I wasn't going to give them more than that shit. Right after, we went next door to the Cantina, to see if our friend was working. He is no longer the manager. Who knew?

Then, we went to go see Definitely (a word that I cannot spell today), Maybe. It was a decent movie. Above average. I'm sad to see that it did not get a lot of buzz or money. Ryan Reynolds kind of looks like Scott Clifton. And there is this redhead that is just GORGEOUS. I love her. How Ryan was able to be with someone like Alanis (who, while incredibly talented, ain't so much in the looks department) will be one of those many mysteries of life.

We go over to the town where Smash is being released at Midnight. First, we go to Chilis because they have this delicious, delicious white chocolate cake thing, which we both knew that we wanted. We shared it, because we were still full. Turns out that the Gamestop where I got my game had a Smash tourney all lined up. I did not partake. I was not going to let my mood be dampened by losing. But it was crazy busy. And we had to wait like 2 hours still. We played some DS, rolled a D20 around, but the highlight of the wait was getting this....

LUIGI FOR THE WIN!!! They had Mario (psshaw!), Luigi (yay!!!), Donkey Kong (meh), and Wario, who was SUPER fat. I only got Luigi, because he's my boy. 5 bucks. It was glorious. The foot, by the way, belongs to Sarah.

Tom, one of my coworkers, was like 'there won't be more than five people waiting at midnight for Brawl.' Yeah, there were a lot more.

A. Lot. More.

I get home at 12:30, and start playing. My goal was to unlock Luigi right away. Unfortunately, you cannot unlock Luigi right away. You have to play many, many hours in the Subspace Emissary mode to unlock Luigi. I logged in 4 hours before I finally went to sleep. Then, at noonish, I unlocked my boy!!!!

Let me tell you, Smash rules. Is it as good as I expected it to be? Well, no. But that's only because I thought I would be in tears the whole time I played. I haven't wept yet. But I have had many, many good feelings. Plus, sadly, I tried to play online two times and both times I could never connect. My connection is slow, very slow.

Nonetheless, I can't wait for my smash party! Two weeks! Two weeks!

I liked the pictures. So you waited at Gamestop? I thought you were waiting at Best Buy for some reason.. But the whole drink-thing kills me. That's how they make their money!!!

Yeah. Gamestop. The brick and motar stores (sans Wally) don't do midnight releases!!!

I'm just glad that I can post pictures now that are decently sized!!! Thank you for showing me!

And yes, the drink thing kills me, too!!!

Back to Brawl!

You could always change your camera settings. I remember your disney ones were huge in size ANd kbs. But it's all good. I'm glad you had fun.

You have the luxury of playing with your roommate, though. I have nobody. I couldn't just wake up my parents and be like 'play with me until 5 in the morning!'

They did make it so that every character could be unlocked via multi-player battles, which is a good thing. I like that. Not for myself, of course, but, for people who can play against other people and don't want to play subspace so much.

Subspace makes my thumb hurt.

This game is so awesome, I've only been playing it for 3 hours in subspace emissary mode. I am so addicted. We'll have to battle online, I will dominate you.

We can't battle online. See above:

'... I tried to play online two times and both times I could never connect. My connection is slow, very slow.'

Unless you don't MIND playing against me and my uber-lag of a connection, that could take an hour to even get far enough TO connect...

I just beat subspace. The last boss is cheap. Like, SNK cheap.

I hate him.
